SHIPPING

AND RETURNS

Shipping Domestic

Products In Stock take one to three days to process before being shipped. We use FedEx for our domestic shipping and DHL for international orders. If you need something expedited, please email us at info@houseofdeane.com to amend the order.

Our Return Policy

All products are Final Sale. However, extenuating circumstances may allow us to provide store credit at our discrepancy. We can also offer fit adjustments through House of Deane at an additional cost.

If you are allowed a return, you will be given instructions on how to fulfill your return.

POLICIES

Agreeing with Policy

By scheduling an appointment and engaging in our services, you are agreeing with the policy on houseofdeane.com.

Scheduling

You can make an appointment any day of the week via our website. The best way to contact us is to email info@houseofdeane.com. If you would like to book an appointment and have no further questions, you can book an appointment online. Email confirmation is sent to you after you have successfully booked online with us. We only take customers in the studio on Tuesday-Saturday. Appointments are made on a first-come basis; however, we will try our best to accommodate rush orders.

When to Book

Initial appointments are recommended two months before your wedding date; however, you are encouraged to book your appointment in advance to guarantee availability. If you choose to come in earlier than two months prior, please note that you will likely require additional appointments and may incur further tailoring fees.

Quick Turnarounds

House of Deane has experience delivering quick turnarounds, and the rush fee is 30% of the service.

General Turn Around

Typically, the alteration process takes about three to eight weeks.

You will be asked to make an appointment for your final fitting after you first come in; however, you can book both your initial and follow-up appointments online before coming in (recommended to be spaced 2-3 weeks apart).

Minimum Cost

There is a minimum of $350 for bridal customers, with Initial Fittings at a separate charge.

Guests

**Covid Update: Guests are not allowed to join at this time due to safety concerns.**

You may bring guests to your appointment. We recommend bringing two or fewer guests to ensure your vision is heard and understood. Appointments often run smoother with fewer guests; however, we welcome what you are most comfortable with.

Keeping your Appointment

Life happens. However, if you realize you are running late, please get in touch with us immediately! If you are delayed by more than 20 minutes, your appointment is subject to cancelation.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

There is no penalty for rescheduling your appointment a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

If you need to reschedule an existing consultation or fitting, your confirmation email (24 hours prior) will have a link that can be used for this purpose. You can also call us or email info@houseofdeane.com to request a reschedule. However, keep in mind that availability may be limited.

Failure to Show

If you miss your appointment and fail to notify us, we reserve the right to refuse further service, and you will incur a cancellation fee. In addition, repeated occurrences may result in the cost of additional appointments.

Amount of Appointments

A bride receiving basic alterations is allotted two to three appointments. Most brides pick up their dress at their second appointment and occasionally need tweaks requiring a third fitting. Any appointments after the allotted amount are subject to additional fees; this includes design and tailoring changes that require rework not included in the initial fitting. This includes heel height changes, drastic fluctuation, and preference changes.

Dress Adjustments

Size fluctuation or changes to the design that cause alterations to be redone are subject to a charge of up to 100% of the original price of that alteration and/or any additional fitting charges. In addition, work asked to be done against advisement that requires rework is subject to further charges up to 70% of the original price of that alteration and/or any additional fitting charges. Therefore, while these are rare cases, it is important to conceptualize how you’d like your pieces to fit before approving any dress adjustments.

Shoes and Undergarments

You do not need to bring the exact shoes you will be wearing with your gown; however, we recommend bringing a pair of the same height you plan to wear. This is to fit your hem length without excess fittings or extra work and charges. Not knowing the height of your shoes, thus causing additional alterations, will require further appointments.

Changing your shoes may also require rehemming your dress. As this is a complete rework, an additional quote will be provided.

Bra cups can be added to your dress. If you plan on wearing special or specific undergarments that affect the fit of your dress, please bring them with you to your fittings. We recommend the brand Commando for shapewear/smoothing, especially for Silk Crepe and Satin dresses.

Dress Storage

Due to the limited space within our studio, we ask that you take your dress when alterations are complete. If you would like to store your dress at House of Deane leading up to the wedding, we offer storage for $10 a month.

Estimates

We value transparency. Ask, and a quote can be provided for alterations upon request. Please email us a few pictures of you in your dress, and we will respond with a price quote as soon as possible.

Pricing and quotes are subject to adjustments as we work through your vision. Details like the number of layers in your dress, additional beading, changes of fabric… etc., can all affect your final quote. If you are on a budget, please share it with us. We promise to work transparently together to make your dreams come true.

Refunds

House of Deane does not offer refunds on alterations, made-to-order, or custom orders. However, we want to hear about any issues so we can handle them accordingly. Our goal is to cultivate a comfortable environment and provide services that exceed expectations. We encourage Brides to speak freely and honestly about how they feel in their dress to communicate their needs and expectations clearly. This ensures that we can do our best job for you. Please keep in mind that alterations are time-intensive and consist of mindful, delicate labor. Every dress at House of Deane is handled with loving pride and care.
